The Midnight Sun Marathon is the world's northernmost marathon, certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). The race is held annually in June in the Norwegian city of Tromsø, starting and finishing in the city center with a scenic route that includes two crossings of the iconic Tromsø Bridge. Due to the city's location approximately 350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, the event offers runners the rare experience of competing under the natural phenomenon of the midnight sun.

Highlights

  • There are more than 6000 participants from around the world gathering in the streets of Tromsø to take part in the celebration of the Midnight Sun Marathon.
